We believe that creative strategy & creative execution shouldn’t live in different rooms.

My approach to creative merges systems of creative strategy, performance marketing and media production to close the gaps that exist in many contemporary creative frameworks. I’ve spent over 10 years making creative for brands while moving closer to the data and decisions that drive creative performance. The result is a practice built to connect the thinking and the making, or in other words: creative strategy informed creative production.

I built Stelma Studios around closing the gaps in creative that emerge when the people developing the strategy are disconnected from the production teams making the work.

My work combines audience insight, brand positioning, concept development, performance data and creative direction with expertise in media production.

Our Creative Philosophy

Understand before you make.

Strong creative starts with the audience, not the asset. Research, behaviour, culture and business context provide the raw material for better ideas.

Keep strategy close to production.

An idea changes when it enters production. Strategy should survive that transition and become stronger because of it.

Build systems, not one-hit wonders.

The goal isn't simply to make one successful piece of creative. It is to understand why something worked and turn that learning into the next idea.

Use technology to accelerate ambition.

AI should make creative teams faster, more curious and more capable.

Meet Our Founder

I’m Alex Stelmacovich, the founder and strategist behind Stelma Studios. Over the course of my career I've worked across creative strategy, performance marketing, media production and creative direction for organizations ranging from growing startups to globally recognized Fortune 500 brands.

That range has become one of the most valuable parts of my practice.

I can move comfortably between an audience insight and a creative brief, a performance dashboard and a production set, or a campaign concept and the systems required to scale it.

The medium changes.

The objective doesn't:

Find the strongest idea, make it exceptionally well, learn from what happens next, and keep getting better.
